RPD hiring process

For those interested, we will begin taking initial applications for our hiring process on January 15, 2011. Just click on the "Apply Here!" tab at the top of the page to get started on your journey towards becoming a Police Officer for the City of Richmond.   For those of you who prefer to print off the .pdf version of the pre-application, please complete it and mail it to:

    why is the cut off age 35

    The cut off age is a P.E.R.F. requirement. P.E.R.F. is our pension fund. This being said, if you are already a member of P.E.R.F.'s 1977 police and fire plan, the age restriction may be waiverable.
